Eye Exam by Danny Archer

Every once in a while I dig out something from the closet that I used to love and have forgotten about. This is one of them. This is a fun packet trick that is easy to perform and has a laughter inducing kicker. There are many different ways to present this effect.

The basic effect consists of showing what appears to be four bicycle red backed Jacks. The cards are displayed one at a time and each time a different Jack magically turns face down. Then, it appears that each back turns blue. For the kicker, each card is turned over and an eye exam chart is printed on each card. If you want to use the eye exam chart to reveal a selected card, you can do that too by having the spectator read each line — the final line has the name of a card printed on it.

The trick comes with the specially printed gaffed Bicycle cards which is the same quality as the standard 808’s. The two-pages of instructions with different routines are clear and easy to follow.
