iCaan by James Went and Big Blind Media

James Went and Big Blind Media present iCaan, a double any card at any number routine that is totally mind blowing.

With your $22 purchase of iCaan you get a special deck and a vimeo video that is 20 minutes long. The deck is something you probably owned at one point in your life and may already have in your drawer.  You can use this deck for more than this trick, but you cannot hand it out for inspection.  However, you can handle it in a way in which the spectator believes that the deck is not a special deck.

The video is excellently produced consistent with standard Big Blind Media top-notch quality. Went first performs the trick in studio and then explains it.  The first explanation requires you to be able to do a perfect faro shuffle.  I personally try and avoid tricks that require a perfect faro.  For those in the majority that join me on this one (at least I think), Went also teaches an alternate faro-free method that requires no skill.  Also Liam Montier teaches a version of the routine that does not require any skill whatsoever, but is different from Went’s easy-peasy version.  I like both Went and Montier’s easy versions.  What I like about Montier’s version is that the deck is riffle shuffled several times.

The trick is very easy to learn and very easy to perform (aside from the faro version). Went teaches one move that may require some practice for those that don’t already know it.  This move is used during the production of the spectator’s card, but it is not necessary for the routine as there are alternate ways to produce the card.

There is a reset to Went’s versions that will take a few minutes in privacy to reset. With Montier’s version, you can reset a bit quicker.

Being able to have both the performer find a chosen card at any number and also have the performer do the same is flabbergastingly amazing. The idea and the execution behind this trick is wonderful!

This great product is available at any Murphy’s Magic dealer.
